About Sanjay Nambiar

Sanjay Nambiar is a copywriting veteran who delivers a powerful combination of creative skills and business acumen. His experience spans a wide array of disciplines including investment banking, business development, strategic marketing, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. Sanjay’s versatility enables him to craft everything from ad copy for consumer goods, to web content for technology companies, to speeches for executives, to messaging for a wide range of industries. He has developed copy for a diverse range of clients including Ogilvy, Edelman, LG, Toyota, EPSON, Comcast, The Broad Foundation, political campaigns, and several ad agencies and PR firms.

As an author, Sanjay won a Mom’s Choice Awards Silver Medal and a Gelett Burgess Children’s Book Awards Gold Medal for his debut book, “Maybe (A Little Zen for Little Ones)”. He also is the author of the award-winning “Still There? (A Little Zen for Little Ones)” and “Remember the Stars (A Little Zen for Little Ones)”. In 2013, Sanjay published the widely acclaimed “The Super Duper Princess Heroes: How It All Started,” a picture book that subverts the princess paradigm and encourages girls to be empowered.

Sanjay grew up in Carson, CA, where he overcame a gang- and drug-riddled environment with the help of a closely-knit family and a focus on education. He graduated with honors from U.C. Berkeley, with degrees in Economics and Neurobiology, and earned an M.B.A. from UCLA. In his spare time (of which there is very little), Sanjay serves on the Board of Directors for Ready, Set, Read!, a non-profit organization that helps underserved families read to their pre-school age children. He also is a performer with an improv comedy troupe at the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, CA. Sanjay lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife and identical twin daughters.
